The Biafo-Hispar Glacier system is the world's longest trek outside polar regions, 120km of continuous glacial travel. Snow Lake at 5,000m is one of the most remote and awe-inspiring places on Earth. This is a true expedition, crossing from Skardu's Baltistan region to Hunza's Nagar Valley.
Trek Itinerary
Days 1 to 4, Approach via Biafo
Skardu to Askole, then up the Biafo Glacier through increasingly wild terrain.
Days 5 to 10, Biafo Glacier & Snow Lake
Navigate the upper Biafo to the vast Snow Lake plateau. Several days exploring and camping on the ice.
Days 11 to 13, Hispar La Pass
Cross Hispar La (5,128m), the watershed between Baltistan and Hunza.
Days 14 to 21, Hispar Glacier to Nagar
Descend the Hispar Glacier to Hispar village in Nagar Valley. Jeep to Karimabad, Hunza.
