Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1, Arrive Islamabad
Pickup and briefing; overnight in the capital.
Day 2, To Hunza
Fly to Gilgit (weather permitting) or drive the KKH via Chilas past the Nanga Parbat viewpoint; continue to Karimabad.
Day 3, Central Hunza
Baltit Fort, Altit Fort and its royal garden, Karimabad bazaar and an Eagle's Nest sunset.
Day 4, Upper Hunza & Khunjerab
Attabad Lake, the Passu Cones, Gulmit village and the China border at Khunjerab Pass (4,733m).
Day 5, Rakaposhi & Nagar
Cross to the Nagar side for the Rakaposhi base-camp viewpoint at Minapin and Hopper Glacier.
Day 6, Leisure in Hunza
A relaxed day, cherry / apricot orchards in season, Ganish old village and its watchtowers, and local cuisine.
Day 7, Hunza to Islamabad
Return flight to Islamabad, or overnight en route by road on the Karakoram Highway.
Day 8, Departure
Transfer to Islamabad airport for departure.
