K2 Base Camp gets most of the attention, but Skardu is the gateway to several other genuinely world-class treks, each with a different character and difficulty level.
A shorter, more accessible option, several days of trekking through a valley framed by dramatic peaks (including views toward Masherbrum), without the full commitment of a multi-week glacier expedition. Good for trekkers with basic fitness and limited time.
A serious high-altitude pass (around 5,585m) typically combined with K2 Base Camp as an alternative return route rather than retracing the same path. Requires glacier travel experience, proper acclimatisation, and is significantly more technical than the standard K2 Base Camp trek alone.
One of the longest glacier traverses outside the polar regions, a multi-week expedition connecting two major glacier systems. This is for experienced, well-prepared trekkers only, requiring a full support crew and specialist logistics.
Check our Treks page for current itineraries and support-crew details on each route.
