Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1, Islamabad to Swat
Drive to Mingora, the gateway to Swat Valley. Check in and evening at leisure.
Day 2, Kalam & Mahodand
Drive up to Kalam and, road conditions permitting, on to Mahodand Lake for its pine-forested shores.
Day 3, Malam Jabba
Visit Malam Jabba, Pakistan's premier hill station, for chairlift rides and mountain views.
Day 4, Swat to Islamabad
Drive back to Islamabad, connecting for the onward Skardu leg.
Day 5, Islamabad to Chilas
Drive the KKH to Chilas with Nanga Parbat views. Overnight stay.
Day 6, Arrive Skardu
Continue along the Indus gorge to Skardu. Evening at Shangrila Resort.
Day 7, Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition to Deosai. Sheosar Lake and wildflower meadows.
Day 8, Shigar Fort & Kachura Lakes
Shigar Fort heritage visit. Upper Kachura Lake boating.
Day 9, Satpara Lake & Skardu City
Satpara Lake, Kharpocho Fort and Skardu Bazaar.
Day 10, Return Home
Early departure via the KKH, arriving Islamabad or Lahore by evening.
