Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1, Islamabad to Skardu
Drive the KKH via Chilas with Nanga Parbat views. Arrive Skardu and check in.
Day 2, Shangrila & Kachura Lakes
Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake and Satpara Lake.
Day 3, Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition to Deosai, Sheosar Lake and wildflower meadows.
Day 4, Shigar Fort & Katpana
Shigar Fort heritage visit and Katpana Cold Desert.
Day 5, Skardu to Gilgit
Drive back to the KKH junction and on to Gilgit city. Visit the Gilgit and Hunza river confluence point.
Day 6, Gilgit to Hunza
Continue north on the KKH to Karimabad, Hunza. Afternoon at Eagle's Nest for sunset views over Rakaposhi.
Day 7, Hunza Heritage
Baltit Fort and Altit Fort. Ganish Heritage Village. Local Hunza cuisine tasting.
Day 8, Attabad Lake & Passu
Boat ride on turquoise Attabad Lake. Passu Cones and Borith Lake.
Day 9, Nagar Valley
Cross to Nagar Fort and walk toward Hopar Glacier. Free time in Karimabad Bazaar.
Day 10, Return to Islamabad
Long scenic drive back down the KKH to Islamabad, arriving in the evening.
