Fairy Meadows offers one of the closest, most accessible views of Nanga Parbat (8,126m), the world's ninth-highest peak. This tour combines a night camping at Fairy Meadows with a complete Skardu itinerary for the best of both worlds.
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1, Islamabad to Raikot Bridge
Drive the KKH to Raikot Bridge. Transfer onto a local jeep for the thrilling drive up to Tattu village.
Day 2, Hike to Fairy Meadows
A scenic 2-3 hour hike through pine forest up to Fairy Meadows. Uninterrupted views of Nanga Parbat's Rakhiot Face. Overnight in a cottage or camp.
Day 3, Nanga Parbat Base Camp Viewpoint
Optional hike further toward the Base Camp viewpoint for even closer mountain views, then descend back to Raikot Bridge and continue to Chilas.
Day 4, Chilas to Skardu
Continue along the KKH and the Indus gorge to Skardu. Evening at Shangrila Resort.
Day 5, Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition to Deosai. Sheosar Lake and wildflower meadows.
Day 6, Shigar Fort & Kachura Lakes
Shigar Fort heritage tour. Upper Kachura Lake boating.
Day 7, Satpara Lake & Skardu City
Satpara Lake boat ride. Kharpocho Fort. Skardu Bazaar.
Day 8, Free Day / Buffer
A flexible buffer day in case of weather delays at Fairy Meadows, or an optional Khaplu day trip.
Day 9, Return to Islamabad
Early departure via the KKH, arriving Islamabad by evening.
