Day 2, Kachura Lakes

Upper Kachura Lake hike and boat ride. Satpara Lake in the afternoon.

Day 3, Deosai National Park

Full-day 4x4 expedition, Deosai typically remains open until early October, so autumn visitors still get the plateau, without summer's crowds.

Day 4, Shigar Valley Golden Foliage

Shigar Fort and the valley's poplar and apple orchards at peak golden colour, one of the best, least-crowded photography windows of the year.

Day 5, Khaplu Valley & Manthoka Waterfall
