Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1, Fly to Skardu
Fly Islamabad to Skardu. Private Land Cruiser pickup. Check into Shigar Fort Residence (Serena), your first night in a palace.
Day 2, Deosai National Park
Private 4x4 expedition. Gourmet picnic at Sheosar Lake. Wildlife spotting at your own pace.
Day 3, Khaplu Valley
Shyok River drive. Khaplu Fort (Serena). Chaqchan Mosque. Traditional Balti dinner.
Day 4, Skardu & Lakes
Shangrila Resort. Upper Kachura private boat. Kharpocho Fort. Satpara Lake.
Day 5, Drive the KKH to Hunza
Scenic KKH drive north, one of the world's great road journeys. Arrive Karimabad, Hunza.
Day 6, Hunza Heritage
Baltit Fort (over 1,000 years old). Altit Fort. Ganish Heritage Village. Eagle Nest sunset.
Day 7, Attabad Lake & Passu
Boat ride on impossibly turquoise Attabad Lake. Passu Cones, a surreal cluster of rock needles. Borith Lake.
Day 8, Nagar Valley
Cross the river to Nagar Fort. Walk toward Hopar Glacier.
Day 9, Rest & Explore
Karimabad bazaar. Hunza gems, garnets and rubies. Local dried apricots and walnuts.
Day 10, Fly Home
Drive to Gilgit or Skardu Airport. Fly to Islamabad. A journey complete.
