Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1, Islamabad to Naran
Early morning departure. Drive through Mansehra into the beautiful Kaghan Valley. Overnight in Naran.
Day 2, Babusar Pass to Skardu
Cross Babusar Pass (4,170m), sweeping views of the Himalaya. Stop at turquoise Lulusar Lake. Descend to Chilas where Nanga Parbat (8,126m) dominates the skyline. Follow the Indus gorge to Skardu.
Day 3, Shangrila & Kachura Lakes
Shangrila Resort, Heaven on Earth, famous airplane restaurant and boating. Hike to Upper Kachura Lake. Satpara Lake. Evening at Skardu Bazaar.
Day 4, Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition to Deosai. Sheosar Lake wildlife spotting. Wildflower meadows as far as the eye can see.
Day 5, Shigar Valley & Cold Desert
Shigar Fort heritage visit. Katpana Cold Desert, sand dunes against snow peaks.
Day 6, Khaplu Valley
Shyok River drive to Khaplu. Khaplu Palace (Serena). Chaqchan Mosque built in 1370 CE. Manthoka Waterfall at 180ft.
Day 7, Return to Islamabad
Early departure via KKH. Arrive Islamabad by early evening.
