Day 1 — Fly to Skardu
Morning flight to Skardu. Check in and an easy afternoon at Shangrila Resort, already showing early autumn colour by mid-to-late September.
Day 2 — Kachura Lakes
Upper Kachura Lake hike and boat ride. Satpara Lake in the afternoon.
Day 3 — Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition — Deosai typically remains open until early October, so autumn visitors still get the plateau, without summer's crowds.
Day 4 — Shigar Valley Golden Foliage
Shigar Fort and the valley's poplar and apple orchards at peak golden colour — one of the best, least-crowded photography windows of the year.
Day 5 — Khaplu Valley & Manthoka Waterfall
Khaplu Palace, Chaqchan Mosque and Manthoka Waterfall, with autumn colour along the Shyok River drive.
Day 6 — Katpana Cold Desert & Kharpocho Fort
Katpana Cold Desert in the morning, Kharpocho Fort hike for sunset views over an autumn-toned Skardu valley.
