Minimerg is a remote alpine plateau in Astore district near the Line of Control — one of the most pristine and least-visited highland meadows in all of Gilgit-Baltistan. This tour pairs Skardu’s classic sights with the rare opportunity to visit Minimerg’s untouched grasslands and mountain lakes.
Tour Highlights
Day-by-Day Itinerary
Days 1–2 — Islamabad to Skardu
Drive the Karakoram Highway, arriving in Skardu.
Day 3 — Skardu Highlights
Shangrila Resort, Upper Kachura Lake, Skardu Bazaar.
Day 4 — Skardu to Astore
Drive through to Astore Valley, overnight stay.
Day 5 — Astore to Minimerg
4x4 drive up to the Minimerg plateau via Burzil Pass area. Rama Lake viewpoint en route. Untouched alpine grassland.
Day 6 — Minimerg Exploration
Full day exploring the plateau and surrounding meadows. Photography of this rarely-visited landscape.
Day 7 — Return to Islamabad
Descend to Astore, drive back via KKH.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — due to its proximity to the Line of Control, a local permit is required. We arrange this in advance; you only need to provide your CNIC or passport copy.
Very remote — Minimerg sees only a handful of visitors each season. It offers a genuinely untouched highland experience unlike the more developed Deosai or Fairy Meadows.
