Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Naran
Early morning departure. Drive through Mansehra into the beautiful Kaghan Valley. Overnight in Naran.
Day 2 — Babusar Pass to Skardu
Cross Babusar Pass (4,170m) — sweeping views of the Himalaya. Stop at turquoise Lulusar Lake. Descend to Chilas where Nanga Parbat (8,126m) dominates the skyline. Follow the Indus gorge to Skardu.
Day 3 — Shangrila & Kachura Lakes
Shangrila Resort — Heaven on Earth, famous airplane restaurant and boating. Hike to Upper Kachura Lake. Satpara Lake. Evening at Skardu Bazaar.
Day 4 — Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition to Deosai. Sheosar Lake wildlife spotting. Wildflower meadows as far as the eye can see.
Day 5 — Shigar Valley & Cold Desert
Shigar Fort heritage visit. Katpana Cold Desert — sand dunes against snow peaks.
Day 6 — Khaplu Valley
Shyok River drive to Khaplu. Khaplu Palace (Serena). Chaqchan Mosque built in 1370 CE. Manthoka Waterfall at 180ft.
Day 7 — Return to Islamabad
Early departure via KKH. Arrive Islamabad by early evening.
