Summer (June–August)
- Light breathable clothing for daytime
- A warm layer for Deosai and evenings
- Sunscreen and sunglasses — high-altitude sun is intense
- Trekking shoes if joining any trek
Autumn (September–November)
- Layered clothing, warmer by late October
- A proper jacket for morning/evening chill
- Comfortable shoes for fort and valley walks
Winter (December–February)
- Heavy winter jacket, thermals and gloves
