Sits between our standard sightseeing tours and the serious multi-week expedition treks like K2 Base Camp: genuine trail time each day, but no technical skill or extended trekking commitment required.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 β Arrive & Kharpocho Fort Track
Arrive Skardu, check in. Afternoon hike up the Kharpocho Fort track β a short, moderately steep trail with panoramic sunset views over the Indus Valley.
Day 2 β Nangsoq & Chunda Valley Walking Tracks
A full morning walking through Nangsoq Valley's organic farm tracks, followed by the streamside trails of Chunda Valley in the afternoon β an easy, low-altitude introduction to the trip's walking pace.
Day 3 β Upper Kachura & Satpara Lakeside Tracks
Walk the trail up to Upper Kachura Lake, then a lakeside track at Satpara Lake in the afternoon β two contrasting lake walks in a single day.
Day 4 β Basho Valley Forest & Meadow Trail
A proper half-day trail through Basho Valley's pine forest into the open alpine meadows above β the most substantial walking day so far, following the valley's glacial stream upward.
Day 5 β Deosai Plateau Walking Track
Drive up to Deosai, then walk sections of the plateau on foot rather than only viewing it from the vehicle β open, level walking at altitude, with wildflower meadows in season (JuneβAugust).
Day 6 β Return to Islamabad
Early departure via the KKH, arriving Islamabad by evening.

This tour strings together a series of shorter, accessible day-walks around Skardu with comfortable hotel stays each night β no camping, no multi-day wilderness trekking, no porters required. Our dedicated treks are a different, more serious undertaking.
