Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 — Islamabad to Chilas
Drive the Karakoram Highway to Chilas, with views of Nanga Parbat as the sun sets. Overnight stay.
Day 2 — Astore Valley
Turn off the KKH onto the Astore road — a scenic climb through pine forest and terraced fields. Arrive Astore town and check in.
Day 3 — Rama Meadows & Nanga Parbat
4x4 drive up to Rama Meadows — alpine pastures directly beneath Nanga Parbat (8,126m). Picnic lunch with the Killer Mountain towering above.
Day 4 — Astore to Skardu
Rejoin the KKH and continue along the Indus gorge to Skardu. Evening at Shangrila Resort.
Day 5 — Deosai National Park
Full-day 4x4 expedition to Deosai National Park. Sheosar Lake and wildflower meadows.
Day 6 — Shigar Fort & Kachura Lakes
Shigar Fort heritage visit. Upper Kachura Lake boating. Skardu Bazaar in the evening.
Day 7 — Return to Islamabad
Early departure via the KKH. Arrive Islamabad by evening.
